The power of the facial contouring in korea

A smaller face by having a facial bone surgery

The result of the Facial Contouring

A perfect change into this pretty woman

The reason for big looking face is complex. For example, in many cases the development of skeletal and muscular structure are proportional. Meaning, in most cases. large maxilla accompanies large mastication muscle around the squared jaw which is used to chew the food. So the surgeon needs to approach skeletal structure and muscle structure simultaneously.

Also a chubby face is the case that the subcutaneous fat and the isthmic fat are developed.
Facial Contouring, thereby, due to such complex reasons, for big and angular face, the effectiveness will be limited by nature.

Can I really have a smaller face by having a facial bone surgery ?
The answer can be both ‘Yes’ or ‘No’.

The Facial Contouring is, in fact, a surgery which only aims the change of the skeletal structure, among 3 components (bone, muscle, fat) which determine the facial size.

So the facial size can be reduced or it can remain as the same in certain cases. In the case of the angular mandible, the lateral jaw line can look angular being affected by the skeletal structure.

But the jaw looking angular and wide from the front view, can be the cases with various reasons such as the mandibular and maxillary bones getting wider to the outer direction, development of mastication muscle, thick layers of isthmic fat and subcutaneous fat, etc.

So in order to reduce the facial size effectively, focusing on only one elements among several facial parts in terms of the facial size and concept will be problematic.

Advanced face surgery attracts attention

Face surgery, facial contouring surgery is popular among asian girls

A triangular-shaped face is popular among young Koreans in their 20s and 30s because they think it is beautiful.

Demand for surgical operations to have this “V-line” shape is growing. But many of those who want to change their looks often find difficulty choosing surgical methods because many facial surgeries carry a high risk of side effects and cause excruciating pain.

To this, Siot osteotomy has been grabbing attention because it cuts a smaller part of the chin bone than other existing methods. It is the latest surgical method developed by a doctor at Face Line Center in Seoul.

Derived from the Korean consonant “ㅅ” (pronounced siot in English), the method cuts the lower part of chin bone in a siot shape. The lower part of chin bone is cut into three pieces. Then the doctor takes out the chin bone in the middle and affixes the two other parts. Finally, the lower part is attached to the upper part of the face to form a small and lean face line, the hospital said.

It also reduces the risk of nerve damage and helps patients recover from the surgical operation in a short period of time, said Kim Tae-gyu, the doctor who developed the method at Braun Plastic Surgery.

“The Siot osteotomy is an effective surgical method than the existing T-osteotomy because it does not cause any nerve damage,” Kim said.

The T-osteotomy had frequently been performed in Korea before Siot osteotomy. However, the T-osteotomy was not effective at all for long faces that also had long chins. Therefore, patients with long faces and long chins had to go through additional operations to reduce the length of the chin or take even more painful and risky bimaxillary operations.

However, the Siot osteotomy can make the front chin lean and shorten the length of the chin without follow-up surgery or bimaxillary operation, the hospital said. The hospital has obtained a patent for the Siot osteotomy because it has proven to be effective and safe, it claimed. The surgical method has also been recently introduced on TV programs, it added.

“Not only Koreans but also foreigners are increasingly paying attention to overall plastic surgical techniques developed and operated by Korean hospitals,” Kim said

“However, it is important to find a proper and balanced facial shape, rather than being obsessed with the so-called V-line shape,” he said.

Facial contouring surgery is a very complex operation, and requires extra care to minimize nerve damage, the doctor warned.

“Patients need to look for a hospital that has experienced doctors particularly in facial contouring surgeries,” he added.

Foreign kids recover health after surgery in Korea

Foreign kids recover health after surgery in Korea

As Korea continues to gain recognition for its advanced medical services, more patients from overseas are com...ing here for treatment and surgical procedures. Among them are a child from Mongolia and an infant from Russia, who became healthy after successful operations in Korea.

The parents of Damdin Jiguur, a 12-year-old from Mongolia, first thought he was simply gaining weight when he started turning puffy four years ago. As time went by, however, there was obviously serious problem. After visiting a number of hospitals in Mongolia, his parents took him to Beijing last year, where he was diagnosed with chronic renal failure. As his kidney function was already seriously damaged, the boy had to undergo hemodialysis for four hours, three times a week, in order to survive.

However, his condition worsened and his father, who was dedicated to taking care of the son, suddenly passed away early this year. Doctors said that a kidney transplant was the only hope, but it was too costly for the family who had already sold their house to pay medical bills.

The story of Jiguur was covered by a Mongolian TV program which led to 16 million won being raised for the family, and they headed to Korea University Medical Center in Seoul. The rest of the medical expense, 10 million won, was paid by the hospital, SBS Golf and Bridgestone Golf, a golf equipment trader.

Jiguur had a kidney transplanted from his mother last month, a successful procedure. "As the kidney function falls, renal failure patients see problems in almost all organs as bodily wastes pile up. They become extremely frail," said Prof. Park Kwan-tae at the hospital who led the surgery, explaining why the transplant was essential.

"I am glad that we could provide a new life for Jiguur. We will continue supporting foreign patients who are marginalized from health services,”said Kim Leen, president and chief executive of Korea University Medical Center.

Vadim, who was born in a hospital in Moscow, Russia, in February last year, meanwhile, was diagnosed with congenital biliary atresia only a week after his birth. Bile is fluid produced by the liver and it flows through a duct to the small intestine to help digestion. If the bile duct becomes blocked, patients start to suffer liver damage, which is fatal if untreated.

The baby boy soon underwent surgery to allow for bile drainage, but the surgery was unsuccessful.

Upon recommendation by an acquaintance, his parents visited the Severance Hospital with Vadim on March 25.“He had severe jaundice and had hydrops abdominis. He needed a liver transplantation because the prognosis wasn't very positive after the surgery in Russia,”explained Prof. Koh Hong at the hospital who first examined Vadim.

Vadim was admitted to the hospital in early April and had part of liver transplanted from his mother.“They both had blood type O, and the mom’s liver was a size ideal for transplantation. As we had much experience in infantile liver transplantation there wasn’t technical problem,” said Prof. Kim Myong-soo who led the surgery. “When we opened him up, we saw that he had severe adhesion of the organs. We tried our best with the baby who weighed less than 10 kilograms,”he added.

Following the successful surgery, Vadim left the hospital early this week. The hospital said that he will be visiting Severance Hospital for regular checkups.

Upper-arm lift surgery on the rise in U.S

Plastic surgery, upper-arm lift is getting popular in USA and Korea

Upper-arm lift is the latest trend in plastic surgery, according to a report by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

While bigger eyes, higher noses and bigger breasts still prevail in the industry, arms are definitely having their moment with the number of surgeries shooting up 4,378 percent over the past decade. The primary patients are those who have gone through dramatic weight loss and want to tighten the saggy underarm area.
...
The new wave in the plastic surgery industry is not only generated from Hollywood stars such as Jennifer Aniston or Michelle Obama flaunting their perfect fit in sleeveless tops, but also from Americans being more successful in dramatic weight loss, dropping as much as 30 kilograms, an expert said.

The patients usually struggle to lead a normal life due to weight problems, said Dr. Paul Carniol, a plastic surgeon in a private practice in Summit, New Jersey. He urged those with minor weight problems to reconsider the upper-arm lift surgery.

Korean Actress Lee Da Hae Admits To Having Plastic Surgery

Korean star confessed she has got a plasic surgery

When Lee Da Hae recently appeared on a celebrity talk show, she was asked whether she had any work done to her face. For the first time, she admitted that she had indeed undergone plastic surgery.

When the host, Moon Hee Jun, expressed his surprise at learning that she had, she responded, "Please continue to think like that.
When Moon said that he thought it was really well done and it was hard to tell, the actress laughed and thanked him.

Her on-air admission ended years of speculation about whether or not she had plastic surgery. The speculation extended beyond the borders of Korea. Because of her popularity in China, a prominent Chinese news site even commented on it.

It was easy to see that something about her appearance had changed. Fans compared pictures of the star of the KBS drama "Iris 2" with earlier pictures and were sure the changes could not be accounted for by makeup or losing weight.

"I was originally fat and went on some crazy diets," said Lee Da Hae. "But I did have some remodeling done."

"Some is an understatement," said one netizen in response to that quote by the actress.

When you compare Lee's earlier photos with her more recent ones, it looks as if, at the very least, the lower half of her face was slimmed down through a procedure known as jawbone reduction. This procedure involves shaving a section of the jawbone away to make the jaw less square and the shape of the face more oval. Fans speculate that her cheeks were also filled out, possibly with Botox, and the bridge of her nose seems higher than it used to be.

Lee is only 28 but it's not unusual for women her age to have plastic surgery in South Korea. The nation has the highest plastic surgery rate in the world, with 33 percent more surgeries performed each year than the U.S. and some have expressed concern that young South Korean women all want to achieve the same look.

Good bye Eye Bags

Dark circles, eye bags can be removed by surgical or non surgical treatment.

Eye bags, dark circles or puffiness under the eyes can cause a lot of stress. Not only does it make us look tired and old, it also makes us feel ugly. However, many people have eye bags as it comes naturally as we age. Sometimes we can get rid of them by getting enough sleep, drinking enough water and eating fresh vegetable and fruits. But if we constantly hear questions like "are you tired?", "are you not feeling well?" or "what happened to you?" although we are feeling completely good, maybe it's time to declare war to our puffy eyes.

There are several ways to remove eye bags permanently, surgical or non-surgical. The non-surgical procedure involves injection of body fat or filler while the surgical method requires the surgeon to cut the inner part of the lower eyelid using laser and remove the fat. By this method, which is painless, no scar will be visible after healing. The patient receives local anesthesia and can leave the clinic about 1 hour after the surgery (it is recommended to bring big sunglasses to cover the bruises after surgery).

However, due to the effects of the anesthesia, it is recommended to have someone help you get home safely. Driving after the surgery is not allowed. If you choose to use DocfinderKorea's service, a friendly personal case manager will assist you to and from the hospital and take care of you after the surgery. This service is of course free of charge.

Eye bag removal is a surgery done routinely by Korean plastic surgeons and therefore often done additionaly to other plastic surgeries which require general anesthesia such as breast augmentation.

Spacious Breast Augmentation

This breast augmentation is so natural

No more artificial feeling breasts

With traditional breast augmentation surgery, the typical appearance of breasts resembles an overturned bowl,
with almost no room for the implants to move around.
This lack of space makes the shape of the breast very operative-looking and not natural. The surgical method that overcomes this kind of limitation is the `Free Space Breast Augmentation Concept’

1. Creates a glamorous and natural figure
2. Creates enough space for the implants to move around freely Surgical Method

Surgical Method

1. The subfactoral (Dual plane) augmentation method is used with smooth CoGel implants

Modern Cancer

Angelina Jolie had a preventive double mastectomy to decrease the risk of her developing breast cancer. Docfinderkorea can help woman in this trouble to take a test or a surgery.

Most people have cancer in their surroundings. Let it be an aunt, a grandfather, a cousin, a friend or even a parent. Yet, many of us associate cancer with death. Despite our efforts to live a healthy life, we are aware of the fact that cancer can strike any of us at any time.

Indeed the number of people diagnosed with cancer is rising. According to the Korean Ministry of Health and Welfare, the number of patients diagnosed with cancer was 101,772 in 2000. This number almost doubled to 202,053 in 2010.

The good news is that in Korea, the survival rate for various cancer types is one of the highest in the world. This is due to the latest medical technology and expertise in this field. Statistics reveal that the five-year survival rate was 64.1% between 2006 and 2010.

Young people live at greater risk of late cancer detection because they usually don't get a regular health examination like older people over fifty years of age do. specially if there's a history of cancer in your family, you should do a health examination once a year. This case applies to actress Angelina Jolie whose mother died of cancer. She carries a mutation of the BRCA1 gene and therefore had a preventive double mastectomy to decrease the risk of her developing breast cancer. In order for us to consider the same decision, we must first learn if we also carry a mutation of the BRCA gene. This can be done by a blood test.

Cancer is universal around the globe. Breast cancer in Korea doesn't differ than breast cancer in Indonesia. However,  medical technology does. Possessing the only Proton Therapy Center in Asia, Korea is among the best countries for combating cancer.

DocfinderKorea can help you in deciding which preventive steps to take in case there is cancer history in your family. For people already diagnosed with cancer DocfinderKorea will assist you personally to a specialized hospital in Korea. By sending us your inquiry, you have made the first step to improving your health.

YG looks to China

Will Smith and YG Family

With the continued global success that Psy has seen since his “Gangnam Style” music video went viral, as well as the success of Big Bang’s first world tour last year, management at the K-pop stars’ local talent agency YG Entertainment is reportedly looking to China as the next big market for its artists.

As the second most profitable entertainment agency in Korea after S.M. Entertainment, YG is looking to expand internationally, trusting that China will be the next big market for K-pop.

“We now have more confidence after Psy’s global phenomenon and Big Bang’s world tour. So probably we can put more resources and invest more into the Greater China market, which we believe will be the next big market next to Japan,” Simon Choi Sung-jun, YG chief operating officer, said in an interview with Hong Kong’s the South China Morning Post.

While approximately half of YG’s revenue is currently generated from international activities, mainly in Japan, Choi said the agency planned to open up an office within the year, in either Beijing or Shanghai, that is dedicated to promoting YG artists within the Chinese music market through concerts and other events.

Acupuncture reduces wrinkles

Non surgical plastic surgery is common in Korea.
Anti aging treatment can be a pretty good option whose people don't like take a surgery.

Will acupuncture be able to substitute Botox someday? A study found that acupuncture can reduce wrinkles and blushing on the face.

The research team led by Cho Jin-hyong, a Korean traditional medicine doctor at Kwangdong Oriental Hospital in Seoul, said that plastic acupuncture, or acupuncture used for skin therapy, is effective for reducing such symptoms. The thesis was presented in the “International Congress of Oriental Medicine.”

Some traditional medical clinics in the country have been using the automated micro-needle therapy system (AMTS), where a very thin needle makes multiple holes on the skin. “In these holes, skin cells are replaced by new ones during the recovery period. It is reported that skin condition such as flush and melanin becomes better by this procedure,” the thesis explains. Plastic acupuncture helps the circulation of blood and vitalizes collagen and elastin.

The research team applied plastic acupuncture to 18 patients who had deep wrinkles from the nose to the tip of lips, or flush. After a month, they found that the pigment on their cheeks that exceeds the person’s average level of melanin decreased by 16.88 percent on average — which means the skin color has become brighter. The facial blush also decreased by 18.61 percent on average.

It also improved moisture content of the skin and wrinkle problems. The level of moisture in the skin increased by 16.82 percent, and the extent of the deep wrinkle between the nose and the tip of the lips narrowed by 3.45 percent.

The research proved that plastic acupuncture is effective in treating facial blushing and wrinkles. It is estimated that the fibroblast is activated and the synthesis of collagen is induced by diverse growth factors during the recovery from acupuncture,” Cho said.

We will continue researches and clinical tests to improve scientific verification of the Korean traditional medicine,” she added.

Hallyu's 10th year in Japan to be marked

Famous Korean drama stars

In commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the advancement of hallyu in Japan triggered by “Winter Sonata,” Japanese media outlets are planning to carry out various projects.

According to the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), they recently set up an executive committee toward that end.

They announced a package of programs during a recent symposium held at the KOCCA building with the theme “Vigor to hallyu! The prospect for hallyu market from the perspective of Korea and Japan.”

The committee comprises of major broadcaster TBS and content providers SPO, Pony Cannon, and Kyodo News Agency, and Kinma Junbo, a cinema media.

They plan to conduct voting on the popular hallyu dramas by hallyu fans in Japan starting from late June. The voting will continue for three months and the results will be used to select the top five works and three best actors and actresses to be announced around the end of the year.

It also plans to hold a ceremony where the selected celebrities will attend.

The committee will attempt to have TBS and other cable channels rebroadcast hallyu dramas and publish hallyu-related books.

Besides the firms which are part of the committee, it will also seek to invite some 30 broadcasters, and advertisers, and eventually increase the number of participating companies up to 100.

“Hallyu is not politics. It is a precious cultural exchange at the civilian level. We are determined to build up strong trust so that the hallyu road can continue,” said Ushio Kaski, head of SPO’s Seoul branch.

“Though hallyu has seen steady progress through such dramas as “Winter Sonata” and “Daejanggeum” (Jewel in the Palace), there has been a growing need for a big hit these days,” he said.

He cited the need to produce works that appeal to youngsters in Japan and form an environment favorable to producing new content.

SPO has been importing hallyu dramas into Japan starting with the purchase of “Jungdok” (Addiction) starred by Lee Byung-hun, “Gung” (Palace), and “City Hunter.”
